Thus, the dreamer was born...

Thus, the dreamer was born...

Ok, so what if everyone thinks it's all baloney... I tell you it's real ya hear!
...Just having a little fun with you.

First things first. I am a dreamer. We all are. But some people are able to receive the type of dreams that help them throughout a lifetime. I am such a person. Way back to my childhood...since I can remember...I have always been a dreamer.

I remember spooking my friends and family by telling them certain things that had a habit of coming true within the next week or so. Wow...let's see I dreamed both my grandfather's and grandmother's death. I've dreamed of cheating boyfriends ( no lie)...I've dreamed about my future...other's futures, etc...

I know it sounds unreal. Most people who claim to know such things can be classified as certifiable freaks! Believe me, for a while I told no one because I had to protect my relationships with others and how they saw me. Even now there are others who have no idea about my...dreams.

I have also met others who dream. That has been the fun and exciting part. I thought I was alone but....I'm not. Still you have no idea what it's like to grow up not understanding what in the world was wrong with you. Now I feel as though I have a gift. I have embraced the art of dreaming and have come to know exactly what most of my dreams mean.

I consider myself to be the Reluctant Dreamer because for many years I fought it and even though it is apart of who I am and I have now accepted this gift...there are times when I dream something that makes me wish the dreaming would stop...such as murder or things that are unpleasant.

I wish to reach out to other fellow dreamers or individuals interested in dreams or the supernatural. Being in a dream state is so different from being alert and fully awake. That, I believe is why we are so receptive to our dreams and sometimes we wake up feeling like we were actually in the dream as though it were real.

I will share many of my past and present dreams with you as our blog friendship begins to grow.
Then you will know my beginning...which led to who I am today....stay tuned...

You are a young dreamer in an old body....I am an old dreamer in a old one. As you remarked when commenting on my blog, yes, I am a romantic.

I cry easily, not big sobs, but gentle tears of rememberance. I cry when I hear our national anthem, when our American flag passes in a parade, when I see a mother with her beautiful baby, and a loved one passes on.

Thank you for your lovely blog. It is a pleasure to read.

Just one question: Do you believe that this is a God-given talent?
I'm not doubting your mini-autobio whatsoever. lol. Cuz that happens to people I know all the time.
I was just wondering to who you acredit this gift.

Exactly! Except that some people would say that I don't enjoy sloppy joes nearly as much as the next person because I am a neat-eater...

There's a superstition that my grandmother told me when I was younger and it spooked me! According to Chinese believers, everyone is born with 3 eyes. The 2 that we physically see and a third invisible one.

That third one stays closed for most people. A select few are born with it open, or has it opened later in life. It is believed that that third eye is the one that could see past our reality.

If a person is reluctant to develop it, it'll remain weak. But if you choose to use it, just like a baby learning to walk, it'll strengthen and take you places other's can't even dream about.

Sorry for blabbing.. but your post brought back memories.

I'm not sure if I am a dreamer or not. I have situations that I can swear I have dreamt before, but don't remember. I think I should start a dream journal to write in when I wake up.

I think I've stopped dreaming in my sleep somehow. when i did dream, i didn't like most of them. there was something about the darkness of my dreams that made me fear the same would happen in reality. ever had that feeling that the nightmare would come true? mine almost did, and it scared the hell out of me. a little bit too much info but your post made me remember...

I want to thank you for stopping by my page & commenting! =D

Also, I suppose I am a dreamer too. I have been known to say the same exact things as people at the same exact time... I can pick up their thoughts, but I can not do it on command. Keep on writing! Can't wait to hear what else you have to say!

I don't think its some lie but rather think it can be an inborn quality.I also think you can be a future psychic if you work on it.
